The Seoul Mayors Forum on Climate Change brings together local leaders from around the world to share their challenges and successes and learn from one another as they strive to strengthen action in the face of a growing climate emergency.
The session will showcase how the key ingredients of ambition, inclusion and peer-to-peer exchange form a recipe that supports cities in deploying bottom-up models of climate action planning, establishing lasting mechanisms for knowledge sharing, and contributing to local, national and global climate goals. Drawing on the inspiration of Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Promise of Seoul, selected Southeast Asian cities from Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam engaged in the IKI funded Ambitious City Promises project will share their journey of developing an ambitious and inclusive climate action plan.
